Özet
The iron, zinc, manganese and copper contents of 20 different kinds of hard biscuits produced in Turkey were determined using flame atomic absorption spectrometry after microwave digestion. The standard reference material and hard biscuit samples were accurately weighed (0.10 mg and 1.00 g, respectively) and submitted to microwave digestion. The digestion methods gave acceptable consistent and reliable results for all the analyte species. Copper concentrations ranged from <1.0 to 4.2 µg/g, whereas zinc mean concentrations in the hard biscuits were 7.63±3.4 µg/g. Levels of manganese ranged from 5.2 to 12.4 µg/g; iron levels were 20.0±8.3 µg/g. The results for the reference standard materials for the microwave digestion were in agreement with the certified values. The proposed microwave digestion method was precise and accurate.
