Özet
A 79-year-old woman was admitted to the emergency department with cardiogenic shock and possible sepsis, and died within a few hours with electromechanical dissociation. She was confused and prostrate. A transthoracic echocardiogram was performed to assess left ventricular function and revealed biventricular dilatation and failure. Also detected was linear echodense structures within the left atrium (Figure 1, A and B; and Video 1) and the right atrium (Figure 2, A), with no evidence of turbulent flow on pulsed wave Doppler and color flow examination. Although these appearances led to an initial possible diagnosis of cor triatriatum sinister and dexter, it was in fact demonstrated that this cor triatriatum sinister appearance was caused by a prominent aneurysm of the interventricular septum (Figure 1, C, Video 2) and cor triatriatum dexter appearance was caused by a giant eustachian valve (Figure 2, B, Video 3).
