Özet
MethodsThirty-six subjects who have a father with a history of obstructive coronary artery disease before the age 40 and 46 subjects who have a father with normal coronary arteries documented with coronary angiography were included to the study. The C-reactive protein (CRP), endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) polymorphisms were analyzed by retraction fragmented length polymorphism technique.ResultsThere were no differences between the two groups regard to age, sex, body mass index, systolic and diastolic blood pressures, lipid profile, serum creatinine, and fasting glucose, hemoglobin, and high sensitivity CRP (Table 1). A significant difference was observed only in IL-6-572 G/C genotype distribution and allele frequency between two groups (P= 0.012)(Table 2).
