Özet
In this study, the catalytic activity of choline chloride (ChCl)- based deep eutectic solvents (DES) for the production of levulinic acid (LA) from pine sawdust (Pinus sylvestris) was investigated. The physicochemical properties of DES synthesized with different hydrogen bond donors (HBD) (ChCl: oxalic acid, ChCl: lactic acid, and ChCl: glycerol) were extensively characterized. FTIR, NMR, TGA, and rheological analyses confirmed the structural properties and thermal stability of the DESs. Under optimum conditions (ChCl: oxalic acid, 160°C, 90 min, 1:15 solid/liquid ratio), a 63.4% LA yield was obtained. Kinetic analyses showed that LA formation followed pseudo-first-order kinetics with an activation energy of 56.8 kJ/mol in the range of 140-170°C. After five cycles, the DES system provided a 96.2% recovery rate and 93% catalytic activity retention. In the sustainability assessment, the DES-based system showed lower E …
