The Effect of E-Learning in Science Lesson on Student Achievement: Acid-Base Example

Özet
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of e-learning method in acid-base topic on student achievement. Pretest-posttestcontrol group experimental designwasusedinthestudy.Oneexperimentalandonecontrolgroupwere constituted withinthe scope of the study. Experimental group carried out lessons using e-learning method while the control group conducted lessons based on 2013 science curriculum. Experimental group consist of30 students while the control group involved 32 students. The data of the study were collected using an achievement test, which was prepared on “Acid and Base” topic based on Bloom taxonomy. The questions were at the knowledge, comprehension, and application levels. The data were analyzed using independent samples t-test. In line with the findings, it was determined that e-learning method had a positive effect on student achievement in acid-base topic.
