| Özet |
| Thiosemicarbazone derivatives are compounds generally obtained from the condensation reaction of thiosemicarbazide with aldehydes and ketones. These molecules have gained a lot of interest in recent years based on their multifunctional metal–chelating properties, inherent biological activities and structural flexibility, to name a few. Thiosemicarbazone derivatives have been used as sensor materials in different analytical methods including colorimetry, fluorimetry, potentiometry and voltammetry, for the detection of different ions. In this review, we covered thiosemicarbazone–based sensors developed using several methodologies, and mentioned their characteristics, performances and applications in diverse settings. Based on the multiple advantages of these molecules uncovered in previous studies in terms of sensor technology, we propose that further research on the development of thiosemicarbazone-based sensors will provide us with sensors with better performances and lower costs for the detection of various anions and cations in different application areas. |
