Özet
Telemedicine applications continue to be a current tool in the field of medicine with expanding areas of use. Their importance has gradually increased due to the recent coronavirus disease- 2019 pandemic, and the latest technological developments have proven their numerous benefits for clinicians and patients across all medical domains. It is especially useful in the follow-up of patients with chronic diseases and those who experience delays in applying to health institutions. Sleep apnea syndrome is one of the chronic respiratory system diseases that can cause significant mortality and morbidity, requiring continuity in diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Due to the pandemic we have experienced, it is also fact that there has been a decrease in patients' access to sleep centers for the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, as well as difficulties in their follow-ups.
