Özet
Foliar application of nutrients has an important role on yield, growth and quality properties of leafy vegetables. In this study, foliar application of Ca, Zn and urea was investigated in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. Crispy). Study was carried out in soilless culture, unheated greenhouse conditions, spring season. Nutrient solution was arranged 150 ppm N, 150 ppm Ca, 50 ppm P, 300 ppm K and 50 ppm Mg. Three different doses of Ca (0.03%-0.06% and 0.09%), Zn (0.01%, 0.02% and 0.03%) and urea (0.05%, 0.10% and 0.15%) were sprayed in two periods. The first treatment was applied 20 days after planting and the second treatment was performed 10 days later. Solutions were applied with manual sprayer until the leaves completely getting wet. Ten plants were treated in each plot. The experiment was conducted out with randomized split-plots with three replications. Marketable head weight, dry matter, nitrate, ascorbic acid, titratable acidity, soluble solid mater (obrix), pH, plant growth parameters such as leaf number, head length, head diameter and biomass were evaluated.
