| Özet |
| Boron is an essential micronutrient for plant growth and it is required to be applied on conditions in which boron is deficient or boron intake has been delimitated. Different silage maize genotypes’ responses to boron application have been analyzed in an area where soil organic matter is low, soil reaction and lime content are high. In the study that was established upon 3 each recurring randomized blocks experimental design, and 10 different silage maize genotypes (Shemal, TTM-815, DKC-6589, Arifiye, Sakarya, ADA-523F1, Hacibey, Pioneer, C-955 and Cadiz F1) were used. As boron dose, Etibor-48 (Na2B4O7. 5H2O) fertilizer was implemented in control 0 (-B) g da-1 and 200 (+ B) g da-1. Genotypes responded significantly to the boron applications. Boron fertilizer application highly increased maize genotypes’ dry matter content and silage maize productivity. With boron application, increases in plant P, K and B contents occurred. There were differences in boron efficiency of corn genotypes. Ecology and soil features vary from region to region and in addition to this, fertilizer application amount varies. Carrying out similar studies in different regions, using different genotypes in studies, determining sufficient doses considering nutritional element interaction and suitable fertilizer management according to the regions, will be determinants of agricultural production. |
