| The development of tourism movements continues in line with the development of transportation facilities. Destinations, which have touristic density in Turkey, have reached their present position, especially as a result of improvements in air transport infrastructure and increased passenger capacities. In Tokat, which wants to have a say in tourism, thanks to the modern and high passenger capacity New Tokat Airport, which will open in 2021, a great development is planned in the transportation infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the role of New Tokat Airport in regional tourism movements, mainly within the scope of hometown visits.
