| While expectations are rising in the field of graphic design in the fast-flowing pace of life of the new world, it is becoming important for information to reach the relevant audience instantly. The fact that infographic designs convey complex information in a simple way is also gaining importance in the field of tourism. Cultural tourism activities have a long communication process depending on many factors. From the moment the tourist decides to visit the region, attracted by the beauties of the region, to the end of the tourist activities that he will perform as long as he stays in the region, the tourist wants to quickly and practically realize the acquisition of knowledge with the region. Infographic maps are important to increase the recognition of the region and to satisfy the incoming tourists in terms of communication. Thanks to the applications made; It is thought that it will contribute to the development of infographic map design and will be a guide for people interested in the subject. It is intended to be an example of the designs that have been made and will be made in this area. Within the scope of this study, while the characteristics and importance of infographic maps are defined by descriptive analysis method, infographic map samples related to Ordu Province and Ordu University designed by Tuğrul AKSOY and used in Ordu Metropolitan Municipality cultural activities will be included. |
