Özet
The digital age has seen rapid advancements, and students today have undergone numerous changes. A number of disciplines, including individual education, have undergone modifications as a result of recent social, technological, and economic improvements (Yeşilyaprak, 2003).Online learning has many definitions in the literature. By using online resources, courses, electronic libraries, dialogues, chats, e-mails, and knowledge-sharing platforms, Shank & Sitze (2004) define online learning as the employment of digital technologies for delivering, facilitating, assessing formal and informal education. According to Carliner (2004), terms like “elearning,”“computer-based learning,”“computer-based training,” and “technology-based education” are used to describe online learning. On the other hand, Moore and Kearsley (2011) define online learning as a planned and institutional arrangement in which teachers and students are in different spaces, which includes the application of designs and methods suitable for distance education and which necessitates the use of various technological devices. It refers to educational settings facilitated by the web, according to Bakia et al.(2012). Online learning programs make use of the Internet both inside and outside of schools to provide access to educational resources and foster communication between teachers and students.
