Özet
Introduction Individuals are a whole with their environments. The environment (the neigbourhood) in which the individual resides is extremely important for one’s physical and mental health. Living in a neighbourhood characterized by fear, crime, violence, graffiti, garbage, noise, fighting, alcohol and drugs can negatively affect individual well-being. Objective This study was conducted in a methodological way to test the Turkish validity and reliability of the Perceived Neighbourhood Disorder Scale. Method The research was organized to determine the neighbourhood perception of individuals between the ages between 13- 18 and over 19. Plot study was done by applying pre-test to 87 adolescents in Tokat city center. Validity and reliability analyzes were applied in line with the results obtained from this questionnaire. After that, 513 people were retested for the final test. The questionnaires were applied between January 30 - March 30, 2019, with the approval of the governorship, the school administration, family and students. In this study, a total of 600 people were surveyed. Findings In the study, the exploratory factor analysis Cronbach's Alpha (α) coefficient was calculated as 0.869 for the Perceived Neighbourhood Disorder Scale, and the explained variance ratio was 65.258. After identifying the factors with exploratory factor analysis, the validity of factor structures was tested with confirmatory factor analysis. The chi-square test was calculated as 2.433, RMSEA as 0.049, CFI as 0.969, and GFI as 0.957 for the results obtained from fit indices in the confirmatory factor analysis. It was observed that the obtained model fit well according to the fit index …
