| This study was conducted to determine the loss in yield of different wheat varieties by Heterodera filipjevi which is common in most areas of wheat production in Konya province, Turkey. Experiments were carried out during 1995-1997 using nine wheat and one triticale varieties obtained from Konya. As a result of the second year experiment, yield differences between treated plots (without nematodes) and untreated plots (with nematodes) ranged from 291-608 kg/da to 284-586 kg/da, respectively, depending on the variety. Growing of these susceptible wheat varieties increased the amount of cysts dramatically from 20-334.7% during the vegetation period. |
