| Özet |
| Urban movement which gained momentum in the context of Marshall Plan since 1950s continues increasingly to present and it caused uncontrolled population growth in cities. Urbanization which has emerged in this process is not well structured urbanization resulted by industrialization. It is a unplanned and unhealthy urbanization. Results of this situation have led to many problems which have continued past to present. These problems have been arised in bolt physical and social structure of city. Urban consciousness is one of the facts to solve problems of city. Individuals’ perceptions of city, feelings about belonging to city, awareness of responsibilities to city have getting important to solve problems.This study examined demographic and socio-economic variables which effect urban consciousness of individuals resided in Tokat and determined level of it. Quantitative research technique was used in the study. Data obtained from 574 respondents by survey method. Obtained data analyzed in SPSS statistical programme. According to results it is revealed that urban consciousness has not constituted exactly in respondends. Demographic and socio-economic variables has effect on urban consciousness. |
