Özet
This study was conducted to determine the dimensions of sustainable development in Turkey by considering the important criteria for sustainable development and the effect of agricultural development on the environment. The areas of agricultural development focused were: chemical manure application, irrigation and pesticide use in 2020. Based on the results, Turkey is near the critical limit of sustainable development. It was also established that the effects of agriculture on the environment are more controllable compared to the effects of the industry. However, the said controllability level will fall proportionally with the increase in input that the industry transfers to agriculture.
