| Özet |
| Objective: The aim of this study was to de ter mi ne the smo king pre va len ce, the re lated fac tors and the re cog ni ti on ra tes of ci ga ret te lo gos by pri mary scho ol chil dren. Material and Met hods: A qu es ti on na i re with mul tip le-cho i ce qu es ti ons on co lo red pro duct lo gos was comp le ted in their clas sro oms by 818 (395 boys and 423 girls) stu dents in thre e pri mary scho ols (classes 2-5) in Si vas in this des crip ti ve study. Re sults: Ever-smo king pre va len ce was 4.6%(4.3% in boys and 5.0% in girls). Mo re than half of the stu dents (60.8%) had at le ast one smo ker pa rent. Smo king was mo re pre va lent in chil dren with a smo ker mot her (p= 0.001) and with a smo ker te ac her (p= 0.026). The ra te of self-purc ha sing ci ga ret tes in the we ek pre ce ding the sur vey was 30.4%. The re cog ni tion ra tes of ci ga ret te lo gos we re 81.1% for Ca mel, 30.7% for Marl bo ro, 65.7% for Sam sun and 80.9% for Mal te pe. Conc lu si on: The ci ga ret te lo gos we re one of the most com monly re cog ni zed pro duct lo gos by chil dren. Cer ta in me a su res must be ta ken in to con si de ra ti on to ban ci ga ret te ad ver ti sements. |
