Özet
Plant parasitic mites family of Tenuipalpidae (Acari: Prostigmata) species were determined from parks and ornamental plants in Istanbul (Turkey) between 2006-2008. In total 51 plant species were examined of which 18 plant species were infected by these mite groups in Istanbul. As a result, 6 Tenuipalpid species were identified; Pentamerismus oregonensis McGregor, Pentamerismus taxi Haller, Cenopalpus pulcher Canestrini and Fanzago, Cenopalpus lineola Canestrini and Fanzago, Aegyptobia nr. aletes Pritchard and Baker, Aegyptobia nr. cupressus Baker and Tuttle. P. oregonensis is the most common phytophagous species and followed by C. lineola. Cupressus arizonica Green (Cupressaceae) and Cedrus atlantica (Endl.)
