Özet
The purpose of this study is to determine the language learning strategies were using by Lithuanian student learning Turkish as a foreign language. These strategies were analysed according to gender and academic achievement variables. In this study, the screening method was used. The data was collected from the students who studied Turkish Language and Literature in Vilnius University, Lithuania in 2013-2014 academic years. The Language Learning Strategies Inventory was utilized for the purpose of detection the strategies used by the students. The gathered data was analysed by nonparametric statistical techniques. The results showed that the students had intermediate and high levels language learning strategies and some parameters like gender, age, grade and language skill competence made a significant difference on language learning strategies.
