| Ibn Taymiyyah, apart from being an important scholar in the Islamic knowledge, is a historical figure who is interested in religious, social and political problems of his time and offers solutions for them and takes action. He wrote a letter, to the king of Cyprus to emancipate Muslim prisoners. In his letter, he makes important evaluations on religion, belief, history of religion, prophets, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. As the letter mostly mentions about Christianity, there are hadiths/narratives about Jesus in it. Therefore, the letter speaks of such fitan hadiths like the second coming of Jesus, that he destroys the Cross, that he kills the pig, that Anti-Christ shows up, that Jesus kills the Anti-Christ, that trees and stones report where Jews are; which all are considered as the sings of doomsday and the letter uses them as proofs in contradictive topics.
