Özet
In order to eliminate some problems in building and running Class A evaporation pan, various models have been developed in time to predict the evaporation that can occur from the pan. The daily climate parameters and Class A evaporation pan measurements of the years 2012 and 2013 taken from Samsun Meteorology 10th District Directory. The Samsun climate parameters were applied on the Penman and Linacre models and the values obtained via models were compared with the Class A evaporation pan measurements observed meteorology station in Daily and monthly (by using daily totals) periods of time. As a conclusion, for very low evaporation values the models estimates are usually high; for very high values evaporation from Class A evaporation pan the models estimate generally low amount of evaporation; the performance of the Penman model was found to be better than that of Linacre.
