Özet
This study examines the relationship between education expenditures and productivity in 20 OECD countries for the period between 1998 and 2011 through panel cointegration, DOLS, and FMOLS tests. This paper also aims to reveal whether education expenditures have an effect on labor productivity, and if it does, the direction and coefficient of this effect. As a result of econometric analyses, overall education expenditures, education expenditures per capita, primary education expenditures, secondary education expenditures, and tertiary education expenditures are determined to be cointegrated with labor productivity. It is also concluded that these five education variables have had positive effect on labor productivity.
