Özet
This study is concerned with the families who are living in the Tokat city center and who have migrated from rural areas. Random sampling method has been used in the selection of the families and survey forms were distributed among the heads of 150 families. The data used in our research were based on the responses to the questions covered in the survey forms. A table was formed based on the income levels of the participants and Khi-Square tests were used during the determination of certain factors. The most important results achieved during the research were that, education of the children after primary school is at a very low level, that the relations of the immigrant population with their native rural lands continue following their migration to the city, due to their lands and fields and their blood relatives that they have left behind in their villages; that the most significant problem of the immigrants was unemployment and that the majority of those who have found a job are em...
